Duff Cooley to Miss 4-5 Months with Concussion
Duff Cooley, a key player for the Washington Americans, has suffered a major blow to his season. Team doctors confirmed today that Cooley will be sidelined for 4-5 months after sustaining a concussion in a collision with a player at a base.
While officials from the Americans are optimistic that Cooley will make a full recovery, there remains some uncertainty about his ability to return at full strength after such a serious injury.
Cooley has been performing well this season, compiling a .325 batting average over 29 games. He has a .368 on-base percentage, with 2 home runs and 26 RBIs to his name. His absence will be a significant loss for the team as they adjust to life without one of their top contributors for the remainder of the season.
