Bandits' Pitching Injury Woes Continue as Boyd Ruptures Tendon
The Columbus Bandits' pitching staff was dealt another blow today as Jake Boyd was forced to leave the game during the team’s 6-5 win over the Baltimore Barons. Post-game reports revealed that Boyd had ruptured a tendon in his finger, an injury that will sideline him for the next three months.
Boyd is the third pitcher to go down with an injury for the Bandits this season, further deepening the team’s pitching struggles. Before the injury, Boyd had posted a 1-2 record with a stellar 1.52 ERA in 2 starts and 5 games in total.
The Bandits now face the challenge of adjusting their pitching rotation yet again as they navigate this difficult stretch of injuries.
