Bobby Wallace Shuts Out Louisville Captains in 3-Hit Victory for Washington Americans
Bobby Wallace of the Washington Americans delivered a stellar performance on the mound yesterday, pitching a 3-hit shutout in a 6-0 win over the Louisville Captains. Wallace controlled the game from start to finish, striking out 2 batters and walking just 1.
Louisville manager John Carbine acknowledged the difficulty his team faced against Wallace’s pitching. "He was getting ahead of us and keeping the ball off the plate," Carbine said. "Wallace kept us confused the whole game."
In 28 starts this season, Wallace has posted a solid 18-14 record with a 3.20 ERA, continuing to be a key figure in Washington’s rotation.
