Pete Conway Dominates in 6-0 Shutout Victory Over Boston Bears
Pete Conway of the Pittsburgh Predators delivered an outstanding pitching performance yesterday, blanking the Boston Bears 6-0 at Bears Field. Conway held Boston to just 5 hits over 9 innings, adding 4 walks and 2 strikeouts to secure the complete-game shutout.
After the game, Boston manager Hank Stine praised Conway's effort, calling it "a jewel."
"The way Conway was pitching, it would have been tough for anyone to beat him," Stine remarked, acknowledging the dominant outing from the Pittsburgh hurler.
While Conway is known for his work on the mound, he is also contributing offensively. This season, he is batting .267 with 1 home run, 4 RBIs, and 8 runs scored.
