Game 1
SP: Isaac Saville
The Hares trip to Spain got off to a poor start as they were dispatched 9-5 by the Mallards in the series opener. Gates Harrigan, the Canadian super slugger winner in 2051, took most of the plaudits, aiding his team in pulling away when the game was 4-4 in the 7th with 2-run triple off Octav Draghici from the Hares bullpen. It was a solid performance across the Mallards lineup with 5 batters getting 2 hits. On the Hares side Rob Graham smashed his second home run of the season, while bin Jameel went an impressive 3 for 5. Isaac Saville’s second start wasn’t as great as his first as he gave up 4 runs in 5 innings, but it was Romanian Octav Dragici who really lost it for the Hares, giving up a further 4 runs in just 1.1 innings.

Giobbe Marinello looked out of sorts as he gave up 5 runs in 5 innings, while only 3 of the Hares lineup got any hits, and two of those only managed one.
