A much-needed win...
The Rays climbed back into the ALCS in a game they had to have, trouncing the Angels 8-2 behind Dave Rose and a diversified hitting attack. Rose had some control issues early (3 walks in the first 2 innings) which led to a brief Angels lead, but the Rays got 2 in the 3rd and then after Ezequiel Avalos singled in his second run of the game in the 5th, Luis Barela turned back the clock and drilled a 2-run homer, his first of the postseason and the 33rd of his illustrious career.and when he scored on his homer that was the 100th playoff RBI, both adding to his all-time leading totals. The rookie Elijah Whitaker will try to get the series even tomorrow.
