In some real trouble now...
Things are looking bleak for the Rays, who gave another lame effort today in Anaheim to fall behind 0-2 in the ALCS. The first omen came when the oft (always?)-injured Randy Mastropietro had to leave after one batter with forearm soreness, which ends this season. Melvin Lopez was pressed into action and although the got through the 1st and the Rays jumped to a 2-0 lead on Kang-cheol Lee's homer, that was as good as things got on the day as Lopez couldn't hold the lead and while the bullpen kept it at 3-2 for a while they eventually succumbed. And another weak day at the plate meant it didn't matter how well or poorly they pitched. Dave Rose will be on the mound for Game 3 at Publix Park in two days in what is truly a must-win game.
