And Calgary have done it again! Their 2nd World Series title in 4 years, thanks to a commanding 8-2 win over the Peaches in game 7, as Shanghai’s comeback stopped short of getting them their first title.
Victor Cadoro was named MVP, adding this to his Championship Series MVP award, racking up 7 RBIs over the 7 games. There is little doubt though that Hsi would have won the award had Shanghai managed to win the big one.
Cadoro hit a beautiful home run in this one on the 3rd inning, as the Tartans pulled away. The Peaches threatened a comeback in the 4th with 2 runs, but it wasn’t enough as the Tartans offense continued to mash. 27 year old Adam Grove’s 2-run homer in the 5th was instrumental in securing the title for his side. Grove went 3 for 4 in a great performance.
