Appreciated. I forgot about 85. To be fair, I was mostly focused on when the auto evolution turned on the A/B option and not the No Compensation default in OOTP.
For the years under discussion I think OOTP distills the system to No Compensation until the early 80s. Probably after 1981 but I was too lazy to check each year in the game.
