Mid-Season Standings: Bandits and Saints Lead Their Conferences
With four months of the Professional Baseball Association season behind us, the top teams are starting to distinguish themselves. In the American Conference, the Columbus Bandits are currently leading the standings by a comfortable margin of 7 games over the Boston Rebels. Meanwhile, in the National Conference, the New York Saints are holding a 4-game advantage over the Boston Bears.
Fred Carroll Named American Conference Batter of the Month
Philadelphia Stallions’ Fred Carroll has been recognized as the Batter of the Month for July. Carroll's exceptional performance saw him hit .418 in 22 games, with 1 home run, 24 RBIs, and 18 runs scored.
"I've been around the Professional Baseball Association long enough to know you really have to work hard day in and day out to maintain this kind of consistency," said the 28-year-old Carroll. "It’s rewarding when all the effort pays off like it did this past month."
For the season, Carroll boasts a .363 batting average with 106 hits, 1 home run, 75 runs scored, and 67 RBIs.
Dan Brouthers Wins National Conference Batter of the Month Award
Dan Brouthers of the Philadelphia Thunder has also been recognized for his stellar performance in July, earning the Batter of the Month Award for the National Conference. The veteran first baseman dazzled with a .326 batting average, racking up 30 hits in 92 at-bats, 4 home runs, 20 RBIs, and 15 runs scored.
Brouthers’ impressive season stats include a .312 batting average, a .371 on-base percentage, 13 home runs, and 71 RBIs.
Standings
