Olympics Grounds

Olympics Grounds was home to the Washington Olympics of the National Association in 1871 and 1872, along with other Washington clubs including the Blue Legs up through 1875. There is very little information to go on for this park so I situated the park within the block where it was reportedly located and went from there. Interestingly enough, if home plate was located near the northwest corner of this block then the US Capitol building likely would've been visible beyond the center field fence. This one took some creativity, but I was somewhat inspired by some Old Frog baseball cards with sketches of Olympics players. I believe those cards are all fictitious and not reprints, but one of them did depict the capitol building beyond the outfield fence and I went with it.

The Washington Monument was technically only partially built and construction had stalled for the duration of this park's use. I will likely go back and fix that someday because I currently have it topped out.
