Jimmy Ryan was unstoppable at the plate as he led the Barons to a 12-8 victory over the St. Louis Sox at St. Louis Grounds. Ryan had a remarkable game, going 5 for 6, and his offensive performance was a key factor in the Barons' triumph.

"The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," Ryan joked during the postgame interview with BNN reporters.

Sox manager Justin Gorman, reacting to Ryan’s playful remark, said he "would take him up on that next time," hinting at a future rematch.

In a standout performance, Ryan doubled in the 1st inning, singled in the 3rd, drove in runs with a double and single in the 3rd and 5th innings, and added another RBI double in the 7th before grounding out in the 9th.

This season, Ryan is batting .256 with 5 home runs, and his performance today further solidified his reputation as a formidable hitter.
