Getzein Shuts Down Pittsburgh in 4-0 Win for Louisville
Charlie Getzein was in complete control today, shutting out the Pittsburgh Predators as the Louisville Captains secured a 4-0 victory at Captains Ballpark. Getzein allowed just 4 hits, struck out 2, and walked 3 in a near-flawless performance on the mound.
"I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Getzein joked with reporters in the clubhouse, "but it didn't even feel like I was sweating out there."
With this win, Getzein improves to 8-4 on the season with a stellar 1.76 ERA. Over 13 appearances, he has struck out 55 batters in 112.2 innings of work.
