Foley Shuts Out New York in 2-0 Victory for St. Louis
Curry Foley of the St. Louis Roughnecks delivered a masterful performance today, shutting out the New York Saints in a 2-0 win. Foley kept the Saints guessing throughout the game, mixing fastballs and changeups to allow just 4 hits, striking out 3 and walking 2 in a dominant outing.
"I think every time we were looking for a fastball, he threw a changeup, and every time we were looking for a changeup, he threw a fastball," said New York manager Wayne Slagle, reflecting on Foley’s deceptive approach.
In addition to his pitching, Foley is hitting .270 this season with 19 RBIs across 45 games.
