Billy Hamilton's 5-Hit Game Powers St. Louis to 10-6 Victory Over Philadelphia
St. Louis left fielder Billy Hamilton put on a hitting clinic today at Stallions Park, leading the Sox to a 10-6 win over the Philadelphia Stallions with a remarkable 5-for-5 performance.
"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school, or college—two hits in a game is nice," Hamilton said after the game. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the Professional Baseball Association level is really something special."
Hamilton’s outstanding effort included a single in the 1st inning, an RBI single in the 3rd, a two-run triple in the 4th, a walk in the 6th, and two more singles in the 7th and 9th innings. Sox manager Justin Gorman praised Hamilton’s performance, noting, "His swing is getting there. We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Billy did that to perfection."
Hamilton is currently batting .317 this season with 39 hits, one home run, 19 RBIs, and 18 runs scored in 32 games.

Smith, who is also contributing at the plate this season, is batting .333 in 21 games with 10 RBIs and 7 runs scored. His pitching performance today showcased his ability to excel both offensively and defensively.
