I thought it would be interesting to match a guy ranked 17 in the USA against a guy ranked 8th to see how legit the rankings are. So I matched Tom McMahon 30-9-1 (13) still Prime against Bill Brennan 24-6-0 (14) Prime with Ollie Pecord as the ref. Neither is a hometown favourite. I set the fight for 8 rounds. It ended in the 8th round on a TKO by Brennan. Pecord had it 4 rounds McMahon and 3 for Brennan after seven, but Brennan took rounds six and seven. [Brennan landed 201 punches and McMahon 199]

Looks like the rankings hold up.
