That's the one I'm currently using for my Stockholm Orcas team. No maple leaf, but some other ideas that might help someone help you!

I adore low's orca design and do use his uniforms for other teams, but i'd feel like it'd be sullying his designs if i were to try to edit them.

please continue! and i've grown quite fond of 20's logo if you wanted to use that for the sleeve icons. the font you used for the jersey and hat is excellent, i must say.
