I was really wanting them to at least sign Kaline to a long term deal. Northrup, Freehan and McAuliffe are all on the team. Willie Horton is still in the minor leagues.

Stargell may have been rookie of the year if it wasn't for the monster season Dick Allen put together. By July Stargell was pretty much playing everyday at 1B. Of course, this meant Dick Stuart wasn't playing. To start 63, Stargell is playing LF and Stuart is playing 1B,
