When importing historical players do you get to pick the age they import as? In my current save I'm prepping to begin I have leagues operating in 8 states and I would like to import historical players from those states into the leagues in the states they went to high school in, and in years they were drafted. So, for instance,I would import Curt Schilling into the Arizona league prior to the draft in 1986.
You will get to pick the year they debut in the import tool. Picking the year they first made their debut will get you where you want to go.
I just looked at the OOTP 24 manual again and I see it says imported players will go into the FA pool of the league their imported into but that can be changed to the draft pool, right?
There is a checkbox to add them to the draft instead in the tool.
Once a player is imported into a league, if it's a fictional league they will develop the same as any other AI generated player, correct? Historical
injuries, missed time due to IRL things like wars. won't effect them, right?
In a fictional league it should work 100% that way with no action needed. You can play a historical league and get the same result by verifying a small handful of settings. If you later find that you want primarily historical players you will def want to steer clear of fictional leagues as it is much easier to automate in a historical mode.
