I have a player that is rated at two positions: with 2B at 65 and SS at 55. If I set his position in game at 2b and I in turn start him in the lineup at SS instead, what overall and potential does the game use if his overall/potential is 50/50 at 2B and 60/60 at SS ?

Does the game only use the overall/potential ratings showing for that said position in the lineup or will the game use his ratings to what position I set him to even though I start him at another position?

Also, if he starts at SS and plays 5 innings then I move him to 2B will his overall/potential change ?
