Speaking of comparing FHM to OOTP, one thing I'd like to see added to FHM is OOTP's deeper postseason customization. I have a 40-team league in one save, split into 4 divisions per conference; what I wanted to do is have the top 4 teams in each division make the playoffs (sort of the NHL's format from the 80s taken up to eleven), but with the way FHM is now the best I can do is the top 16 from each conference. That's fine as is, the ability to even do a 32-team playoff bracket at all is impressive, but I'd like to be able to go even deeper.
For that matter, the ability to do a custom playoff bracket in a standard game at all would be a welcome addition; currently only pre-selected historical formats are selectable, and since no league has ever run a 32-team playoffs, the most I can do with that is the 24-team format from 2020 - and even that's limited to strictly the NHL.
While I'm here, other things I'd like to see added include:
-OOTP's real-time simulator, my preferred way of simming a season day-to-day in that series.
-The ability to schedule an international tournament in custom games.
-The ability to create new custom leagues in a standard game.
