When trying to make this option work so modern players could continue on past their final recalc year with retire according to history turned on, did it backfire into causing the fielding ratings to tank?

I wouldn’t say it backfired but it does have a couple flaws that hopefully gets corrected.
1. The fielding issue if you have RAH off.
2. With development off, players that played in 2023 will rinse/repeat their last stats until they retired. At least it seemed that way the one time I tried it.
I can’t speak for others but being able to have RAH and missed seasons as in real life are great options and makes the game more realistic.
Now if they could get the 2 things fixed above, RANDOM would be perfect.
