Now before anyone goes to BBR to look at RL splits let me say that when OOTP calculated "Real" splits it barely matches what you see there. I don't know what they are doing. I intended to do a study of this but I am less inclined to do it now since rudel is being proven right and they are letting it spread.

In OOTP Willie Stargell is good enough to play against LHP yet real life it took him until late 60s before his lifetime BA against lefties reached .200. I also have Bill Mazeroski with great ratings against LHP in a year when he hit 40 points worse against lefties. And that year is double weighted on three year recalc.
