This will get its own thread, but I wanted to include it here too.

Hello, everyone! We have an exciting announcement today about tournaments and Perfect Drafts.

We are nearing the inclusion of Combinator Caps for tournaments. This is something the team has been working on and we’re close to being able to implement it. This is yet another strategy that allows for new roster building. It will also be used on a limited basis. We will be constructing a tournament refresh that will likely be released in the next three to four weeks, and that will incorporate Combinator Caps for some tournaments, perhaps one in each daily category and a few weeklies. Nothing has been finalized yet, as we’re still putting things together. I can’t stress enough that this will be used on a limited basis, and the number of Combinator Cards allowed can vary or be set to none. We do not have a way to rotate the number of Combinator Cards allowed.

Another exciting option for tournaments is the ability to have Chemistry turned off. This can be combined with the Combinator Cap, so there theoretically could be a No Combinator, No Chemistry format. However, this will also be used on a limited basis to get more roster diversity and creative roster builds. We’re working on having the Chemistry option available for Perfect Drafts, too.

It’s possible that these two options could be used in a PTCS and/or PTMS, but the upcoming PTCS 4 will not use them. Those formats and prizes will be announced Monday, July 1.

One more exciting option is that we’ve created smaller groups of stadium rotations to keep with certain themes. The groups include only current MLB stadiums (30), only current MiLB stadiums (30), only KBO (9), only historical (46), only New York (6), only Chicago (5), only California (12). We will likely have other groups created as we go.

We're always looking for new ways to add more variety and challenges to the tournament and draft environments.
