I developed a spreadsheet to input all the ratings for players under the Editor screen. I have a formula that calculates total current and total potential, using the potential total as my tool to who would be the best player and then highlighting who is 1st or 2nd in each category. I have been using for a few seasons now and seems to help me. Attached is a screenshot. If you take notice, Norm Ru, the 2.5 star potential player at the bottom has a potential total of 2,568, which is higher than a bunch of the 5 star players. He wound up going in the 1st round, so it looks like my spreadsheet does have quite a bit of accuracy to it. I have another tab for Pitchers but i didn't display it.
