You had a fresh install of the game on the other computer and just took the entire .lg folder fro the 'saved_games' directory and put that on the new comp right?
When inside the save file, like the screenshot below - are any of the files showing 0kb? Sometimes that can be a sign that one of them is corrupt. If that's the case you can create a new save and then take the corresponding file file and paste it over the corrupt one. You can also 'verify the integrity of the game files' via Steam as shown below.
