I took a peek at what the new management team did in California and I am not surprised. The owner is "win now" and I don't think we could given how the Rangers are developing. They traded their only 2 top-70 prospects for veterans in an attempt to patch up the holes. I wish them luck, but moving average fielding Roberts from 2b to RF, where he is not an average fielder, moving Alan Trammell, a good fielding shortstop to 2nd, where he is just ok and then taking Ellis Valentine out of the lineup again. The poor guy, I rescue him from Atlanta where he languished as a 4th OF for 6 years to have him hit .300 with 25 HR's just to see him on the bench as an abject failure who hit .170 last year in Seattle takes his spot makes me want to trade for him.
