NWL Preview
The 2310 season is predicted to be a tight one with all teams in the league within four games of one another. PAM has predicted all three of Grape, Victory, and Orange to be tied at the top. Vim! League Preview
With the season just a day away, it is time to talk Vim! baseball. First of all, Dalton Farm and Far Harbor are expected to play for the Vim! Series. It would be a rematch of the 2304 and 2305 Vim! Series, both won by the Fog Crawlers.
The Crawlers are picked to edge the Echo Lake Harbormen in the Fog Division. The Harbormen have won the division two of the past three seasons. Eden Meadows is picked third and National Park is picked fourth. Dalton Farm and Echo Lake have won the division the past six years. The Fog Crawlers and Harbormen met in the Vim! Series in 2302 when Dalton Farm played in the Harbor Division. The only other Fog Division winner was Brooke's Head in 2301 when the league was a 10-team league. The Anglers and Gulpers have never won the division.
Grand Hotel, which has won the past two Vim! Series and Season Pass Series, is picked to finish in a three-way tie for second (i.e., last) in the Harbor Division. Like the Fog Division, the Harbor Division has been dominated by two teams outside of Dalton Farm's time in the division: the Ghoul Whales and Atoms. Neither the Acadians nor the Hermit Crabs have ever won the division.
Dalton Farm is expected to be the top offense in the league with CF Toppie Gunn and 3B Ryan Morris expected to battle for the hitting crown. 1B Angus McGuyver of Acadia and RF Chris Knickerbocker of Echo Lake are the other top contenders.
On the mound, the Fog Crawlers are also considered the best, but the Harbormen's SP Jason Woods is expected to be the top pitcher. Other contenders are SP Phil Cecil of Dalton Farm, SP Steady Mike Holmes of Eden Meadows, and SP Justin Wentworth of the Fog Crawlers.
