Barnes Extends Streak to 33 Games in Thunder's Victory
Ross Barnes continues to make headlines as he extended his hitting streak to 33 games in a stellar performance that helped the Philadelphia Thunder defeat the New York Saints 7-2 at Saints Park. The 27-year-old second baseman went 3-for-5, contributing significantly to the Thunder's triumph.
"Ross has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Thunder manager John Kester said.
Barnes singled in the 1st and 3rd innings, grounded out in the 4th, singled again in the 7th, and grounded out in the 8th. His consistent performance has been a highlight for the Thunder this season.
