I have only been playing FHM for about 2 hours now, so if any of these suggestions are in the game I apologize. From a brand-new players perspective, here are some of my suggestions.

1. Be able to actually set the ticket prices manually instead of using points. I love that jersey sales are accounted for. Something I think OOTP should implement. Overall though I would love to see actual dollars when it comes to different options that involve points.

2. I'd like to see where it would show you the cost of sending a scout to different areas. Maybe you have a couple of great scouts from Canada but you want to send one of them to SE United States. By doing that the cost would go up from things like traveling or hotel stays. Not really sure if that's how scouting works in the real world. I haven't kept up with hockey in a long time.

3. A big one for me would be able to see the injury status on the first screen after you select a player.

4. More explanations of some of the different options or what abbreviations mean. For example, on the roster screen at the bottom may a quick explanation of what H1 or A1 mean. Also on the training screen, would be great. I'm sure there is more I'm just not thinking of. This would be great for new players like me that don't know much about hockey.

5. The revenue should have a greater difference for teams. New York teams should not have their revenue within 15% of St. Louis. Not really sure about game balance on this one but in the real-world New York ticket prices I'm sure a lot higher than St. Louis.

I have only played historical challenge during these two hours so maybe the ticket prices are a lot different in the standard game.
