The game between the Pittsburgh Express and the Boston Patriots started with an uneventful top of the first inning for Pittsburgh, who managed just one hit and left a runner stranded at third base. Boston however, capitalized early with a single by Alex Fernandez, followed by a walk and timely hitting. Danny Salas' single brought in the first run, and aggressive baserunning, coupled with a throwing error, helped Boston score fore runs in the first inning, setting the tone for the game. Boston's dominance continued as they extended their lead in the second inning with a three-run home run by Juan Perez, making it 7-0. Pittsburgh struggled to find their footing, managing only one run on a solo home run by Roberto Valderrama in the fourth inning. Boston added more runs in the fourth, fifth, and seventh innings, with notable performances including two solo home runs by Joe Turner. In fact, no matter what the Pittsburgh Express threw at him, Joe Turner hit it. He easily handled Express pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Patriots triumph, 12-3, at Patriots Fields.
