-Chicago Cubs owner Leonel Lemke sells the team to industrialist Randy Henson, who becomes owner of the team.
-The New York Yankees traded 21-year-old RHP Jumbo Brown to the Chicago White Sox, getting 30-year-old RHP Jack Ogden and 23-year-old CF Red Barnes in return.
-The Boston Braves traded 21-year-old 1B Buck Jordan to the Cincinnati Reds, getting 32-year-old RHP Elam Vangilder and 23-year-old SSP Johnny Burnett in return.
-The Chicago Cubs traded 30-year-old RHP Jim Lindsey to the Brooklyn Robins, getting 24-year-old C Jack Cummings in return.
