Not sure it is fair to assume OOTP is "failing"... as far as we know this might be their most successful financial year ever. That said, however, the F2P players are sure taking it on the chin.
Here we are closing in on June 1st and I simply can't do much more to improve my teams. The only missions left are for various pack combinations where you have to pay 3-4x more to get the final players (that you can't use anyway) than simply buying the packs outright.
I've got 2500+ non-duplicate cards, have opened over 600 packs, and can't even dream of affording the top cards that "could" improve the team.
Out of habit, I log into Twitch each day to get my 10 packs and get my usual duplicates, scan the card shop in hopes someone under-priced a card, and check the Missions to see if anything has been added that might make use of my 2500 card collection. Tournaments are a waste of time.
Spend most of my time now playing other games, working around the house, and setting up my "Old Time Baseball League" in the classic game.
It's just a matter of time before I quit PT for this year
