Well, we knew the Mets were doomed when Pete hit their third HR of the game, right? Sure, the Mets dropping the last two in Cleveland despite three dingers in each game was the first time any team had done that all season, and three straight 3-HR losses had only happened 4 previous times in all of MLB history, but come on, now! We know our Mets!

(Again, MLB teams that hit 3 HRs have a .783 winning percentage this season. So the chance of losing three consecutive 3-HR games is only .0102. But 100-1 odds against is nothing to the Most Expensive Team, Suckers! Go team, go!)

Honestly, I was shocked that JD and Mark "À" Vientos going back-to-back jacks was the first time the Mets had done that all year. Didn't Frankie and Pete hit a combined 80 or so taters last season? You'd think they would have done it at least once by now.

And of course the Mets loaded the bases with 1 out in the 9th, but we know what the Six Most Common Words in English are, right?
