Ootp is very frustrating - i was using it as a beta
I am beyond frustrated with player ratings. Virtually without fail my players devolve rather than evolve. I hire new and better coaches every year. SOS just a different day. My seasons scores vary between upper 500s to mid 700s. So I know I'm playing an overall good game. Yet, consistently losing seasons. Drafted players that fall from 4.5 to 1.5 within 1 months of the season. I follow trades and see the AI cheat by allowing for trades it would NEVER approve for my team. NEVER. I know. I tried.
I purchased OOTP24 on sale as a Beta Test for OOTP25. I see there a lot of haters on 24. I have enjoyed my first experience but I just see so many exceptions to the development of my players vs. the AI teams.
One other example: I was managing Cincinnati historical. I brought on an old fan fave - Joe Nuxhall - to increase interest. It worked. But all of his ratings were yellow. He's drafted by the Mets expansion and I was reviewing that roster - ALL OF THIS RATINGS WERE GREEN AND HE WAS AN ACE. Coaching? He's was now 33 and was improved by 25% or more. Its BS. Just arbitrary stuff that routinely works against me and the 400+ hours I spent on OOTP24. Just very disappointing.
Its reaching the point I'd rather live with my ex-wife than spending time on OOTP24. That is saying something my friends. :-(((((
