No idea who OOTPs data provider for player ratings is. But it's disappointing to buy the new game and get outdated and inaccurate player ratings.

We do have updated and accurate ratings with the game every year!
Of course, this is continual work in progress, just as it is with CCBL's set, the updating never ends.
For example, in the last couple patches, we've worked on probably 600+ new and updated draft prospects from with adjusted ratings from 2024-26 and well as continuous adjustments to other MiLB ratings as well, with more to come in time.
None of which is intended to take away from any of the credit folks are giving CCBL here, as he does a great job and any praise for his efforts is fully deserved
