The live start will move some players to the 60-day list mostly to ensure they don't take up a 40-man spot, to temporarily ease handling the roster. Most of them aren't necessarily forced out for the full length. Injuries sometimes it will depend on what their injury status in the roster DB was initially, as well as what text update for injuries we get from our data provider. It's possible that sometimes we may parse an injury and it sounds worse and we assign a longer time than they are actually out for.
Minor league rosters are not guaranteed to be correct. The AI will shift players around after you start. It shouldn't have a significant impact for you to move players around yourself for whatever team you are managing.
