I just won the Stanley Cup in my first year... as the 1982-83 Hartford Whalers

I did not expect that. I finished 36-28-16 in the Regular Season. We beat the Bruins, 4-1 in the first round, beat the Canadiens 4-2 in the second round, beat the Flyers 4-2 in the Conference Final, and then won the cup in a thrilling 4-3 series over the Oilers.

The team in real life went 19-54-7. I made a few pre-season trades to shore up the defense, but the team wasn't that much different than reality.
