-The Chicago Cubs traded 24-year-old SP Bob Hendley and 22-year-old RP Joe Bonikowski to the Houston Colt .45's, getting 35-year-old RP Dick Donovan and 20-year-old RP Dave McNally in return.
-The Boston Red Sox traded 32-year-old 1B Bill Skowron to the Cleveland Guardians, getting 26-year-old RP Bob Hartman and 24-year-old RF Mike Hershberger in return.
-The New York Yankees traded 29-year-old RF Roberto Clemente to the Detroit Tigers, getting 25-year-old SP Steve Barber and 24-year-old CF Jose Tartabull in return.
