Are you still early in a real world save? The way the game uses its real world prospect list means the second and third drafts in a real world save are extremely low quality, because the cream of the crop gets skimmed in the first draft but it doesn't generate new prospects because there's still enough junk players to fill out the draft with. Once the badly-designed/buggy drafts are out of the way I am seeing plenty of high-potential talent in the draft.
