After default install and changed nothing, the logos did appear on the game.
So then I started trying some different settings.
I found that when I disabled FaceGen from the Main Settings/Facegen tab, (not the game settings and then exit and restart) then the logos on the front of jerseys DISAPPEARD!
When I undid that move, enabled facegen, exited and restarted....then went back to game action, the logos re-appear.
So Ive found at least one source of the cause.
However, does that make sense? Now that you know this, is there anything I can do to play the games WITHOUT FACEGEN and still have the front logos?

In Game Settings, top selection - ensure it is set to none. That will stop fictional facegens. To get rid of the licensed facegens that come with the game go to Settings (this time from the Start Screen), then hit Troubleshooting in the pop-up window. Then hit "Go to Folder with Customizable Data". In there is a file called "fg_files". Inside of it are a bunch files with an .fg extension. Those are the licensed player faces. Select all and move out of that folder.
Then you can keep facegen enabled (for the logos) and not have either real or fictional facegens generated. Best workaround I can think of. Note that with every patch the "fg_files" folder will be repopulated. So, repeat that part as necessary.
Alternatively, maybe there is a way to point the game in some Game Settings tab to look for facgens in some empty folder, so it doesn't matter what is the "fg_files" folder.
