I just noticed a weekly fired with a nearly empty roster even though I set it last night. Then a daily fired with just a roster (no strategy, staff, or lineups) even though I set those yesterday, too.

very likely, yes. most things done on the pre-patched version "25.1.46" for example, would likely not work once "25.1.47" was released. It's always a good idea to make sure you have the latest version and update early and often. Any time you see a message like "client not up to date" or etc, probably not a good idea to play until it is. Better safe than sorry.
