-The Philadelphia Phillies traded 30-year-old CF Roy Thomas to the Philadelphia Athletics, getting 20-year-old LF Al Bridwell, 24-year-old CF Emil Batch, and 23-year-old 3B Lee Tannehill in return.
-The Pittsburgh Pirates traded 20-year-old RP Tom Downey to the Brooklyn Superbas, getting 34-year-old RP George Wheeler in return.
-The Washington Senators traded 30-year-old SP Case Patten and 23-year-old 3B Bob Unglaub to the New York Giants, getting 24-year-old CF Danny Hoffman and 22-year-old C Fred Carisch in return.
