Doheny Fires No-Hitter Against St. Louis
It was the game that pitchers dream about: the no-hitter.
It happened at League Park. Ed Doheny of the New York Giants was right on target against the St. Louis Cardinals in a 1-0 victory. Doheny zeroed in on them, holding them hitless with 2 strikeouts and 3 walks.
"I just had it all today," Doheny told BNN reporters after the game. "Very good stuff and great location. That is a combination that's hard to beat."
So far this season, Doheny has a 10-7 record with a 2.73 ERA.
