That's because the 2025 and 2026 and 2027 drafts are likely to be somewhat weak, until we add in and tweak the ratings of more real HS age players to the db there, which should come over the course of the next month or so. Plus the initial roster set players are probably a touch strong compared to created players (as they usually are).

So it's a bad combination to get a lot of 2025, 2026 and 2027 guys debuting quickly.

If you run out to like 2035 or 2040 and then look back to players from 3 and 4 years previously debuting, I think you'll get a better feel for how things look.
What about the international player development. I have hardly seen any guys from that demographic develop at all. I've only had one generated position player debut and achieve more than 1 war in MLB. I understand that this is a volatile demographic but to not see at least a handful of these guys excelling seems off to me. I don't even notice any imminent big leaguers in the minors.
