A couple of things are clear. You can use it to change position or develop a third pitch to make a reliever a starter. I am not sure this increases the potential or just gets them closer to potential as of yet. So if I want to train a guy at CF and use teach new position does increase the potential CF or just get him closer to potential?
It is time intensive but there are always players I draft who are weak fielders I want to move to an easier position so it is an alternative to force start at position. For instance a guy who can play SS but it isn't great might make a good 3B or 2B. In a traditional lineup I can see working on base stealing for a leadoff or potential leadoff man. I am not sure if I want to use this for developed players to tweak them or just for prospects coming up. Maybe a bit of both?
