Yep..calculator tested, .000499 ... has to be for a career, as you can't get that many at bats in a year.
Even Chris Davis, who had the lowest average for a year, all time (and could still qualify for a batting title) was .168.
Chris Davis, for his last FIVE YEARS averaged .196, for over 2100 plate appearances. Jesus.
