I've been at the OOTP game since OOTP 2. I loved the development, I looked forward to the game, I believed in the process. Nowadays, I simply have no respect for the development team. I'd love to get the list early too, but if it doesn't come until the BETA release, a full three days before the actual release I don't care. I get the game from Steam so they don't have my money. I have nothing to lose. If I still bought from FS I could do so without committing any money the same as Steam.
Right now that is the way the game is released, and as you said "Every. Single. Year.". Me? I put on my "grown-assed man" pants and don't let it affect my day to day life.
