I agree that no league average should account for such a large disparity in how well a team/players do. Hindering a players career simply because they are on a loaded team, would not realistically happen.
Personally I don't think that league averages are too important. League averaged didn't come into play with the 2001 Mariners, 114 Yankees, 2022 Dodgers, the Monster Yankees teams. They were monster teams, and would've won a crazy ton more if every position was filled with MVP/Cy Young Caliber players.
