I have a fictional league that I’ve been playing for years. After importing the league from 23 to 24, the strikeout percentage league wide dropped from 21% of ABs to 15%. Average Ks per team dropped from around 1200 to 860. Most everything else stayed the same, except hits went up (more balls in play).

I’d like to go back to Ks being in the 20%-per AB range. I made the mistake of starting the season, so I can only adjust modifiers for the current season.

My question: how do I calculate how much to increase the strikeout modifier? Should I do 1.05 to get a 5% increase in Ks; or is the proper calculation 860 k average per team / 1200 usual average strikeouts per team = 1.39 modifier change? Thanks in advance
